You know last week, when I made changes in my schedule, so I could spend more time on writing?
Yes, I remember. You were excited that you’d given the required notice to leave your work at the clinic, BUT you felt agitated because you didn’t want to have to wait. You felt ready to jump in with both feet and waiting felt like a delay.
No matter what you do in life, the thoughts that you put behind any activity has a significant effect on the outcome of your goals and dreams. Whether you are pushing yourself to your limit in sport, working your ass off for that next promotion at work, or sitting on the couch watching the world go by, the success you will achieve is affected by your thoughts.
Do you feel any tightness or strain in your posture?
Wherever you are right now, take a moment to do a self-scan. Close your eyes and imagine a beam, like the scanning light on a photocopier, starting at the top of your head and slowly working down to your toes.
Happy Sunday! It’s been a busy week as we all get settled back into our usual routines. Here are a few wins for us this week. With all the rain we've had over the last couple of weeks, our house has been overrun with massive spiders trying to escape the weather. I’m sure they have had an easy time finding places to hide as we are long overdue for a full house clean out. I tackled the living room this week, with the vacuum close at hand in case I came across any creepy crawlers. It felt good to take a load of donations to the Salvation Army and liberate some space in the living room. Thankfully I didn’t come across any stow-aways.
Happy Rainy Sunday! We’re finally getting some much-needed rain after months of dry, hot summer. I love hearing the rain bouncing off the roof. Makes me excited for the coming days of sitting around in front of the fireplace on cold evenings. I’m sure the cold weather is going to come sooner than we expect. Summer seemed to turn off the heat during the last few days of August. Perhaps Vancouver mountains will get snow early this year.
Hi there! Did you miss me? I certainly missed writing over the last couple of weeks. I have realized how cathartic this weekly post has become for me. I understand now what writers mean when they point out that writing isn’t necessarily about the readers (although a lot of the time it is) but it’s for the writer themselves.
