You know last week, when I made changes in my schedule, so I could spend more time on writing?
Yes, I remember. You were excited that you’d given the required notice to leave your work at the clinic, BUT you felt agitated because you didn’t want to have to wait. You felt ready to jump in with both feet and waiting felt like a delay.
No matter what you do in life, the thoughts that you put behind any activity has a significant effect on the outcome of your goals and dreams. Whether you are pushing yourself to your limit in sport, working your ass off for that next promotion at work, or sitting on the couch watching the world go by, the success you will achieve is affected by your thoughts.
Do you feel any tightness or strain in your posture?
Wherever you are right now, take a moment to do a self-scan. Close your eyes and imagine a beam, like the scanning light on a photocopier, starting at the top of your head and slowly working down to your toes.
Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a good week. I’m going to jump right in this week so here are my wins for this week. Enjoy! This week in the acting class I’m taking (I’m taking it for personal development, not to become an actor), we had to perform a three-minute solo dance. At the beginning of the course, we were given characters, and the dance we chose was to be something our character would dance to in a private moment.
Happy Victoria Day! The weather has turned again to cool, spring-like weather after two weeks of solid hot, dry days. The change was quite welcome as temperatures in Vancouver had reached temperatures of 30 degrees. For May, that is crazy! I can’t think of another time that we’ve had such high temps in spring. Beats the rain but wreaks havoc on our snow packs and increases the need for water restrictions in July and August.
Happy Mother’s Day! I'm starting this week’s Weekly Win honoring an important person in my life, my mom. Mom, I wouldn’t be the person I am today without your endless love and guidance through the years. Thank you for putting up with my nonsense as a teenager and for always being there when I needed you. You always supported me, even when you may not have agreed with my decisions. Life has been a great journey and having you as a mom, has made each step a little easier.
