When we met suddenly, seven months ago, I never imagined you would become such an integral part of my life. I didn’t know what I was missing before I found myself in that small violin shop, on a hot July afternoon.
Curious about music and eager to learn the magic of exploring my creative self, I watched the shop owner proudly handle her beautiful wares. I warned her that I knew nothing about music or any instruments.
Alana competed Saturday in Boulder Nationals in Quebec City, Quebec. While she didn’t make it past the qualifying round, she had a great time, tried some difficult problems and saw some of her friends have amazing climbs. She’s looking forward to watching those who qualified, compete Sunday in the semi-final round.
Happy Sunday!!! Hope you all had a great week. It’s been sunny here in Vancouver for the last couple of days, and I think everyone is grateful to have a break from the winter rainstorms that we’ve been having. Hey, I’m not complaining! We should have a significant amount of water in reserve for the summer thanks to the rain and a healthy amount of snowpack on the mountains.
The rain has been coming down in Vancouver in record-breaking volumes, but that won’t stop the amazing things going on around North Vancouver. The sun is out now and it’s amazing how it changes everyone’s mood.
