Weekly Win - 5
The rain has been coming down in Vancouver in record-breaking volumes, but that won’t stop the amazing things going on around North Vancouver. The sun is out now and it’s amazing how it changes everyone’s mood.
Here are some weekly wins for this week.
In the TiterLeaf family, Alana was confirmed to Team BC for Bouldering Nationals which will be held in Quebec City in mid-February. Travel arrangements have been made and she has become focused on her training and nutritional needs. She’s super excited about her upcoming trip and has started to transition her sleep pattern to match Eastern Standard Time which is three hours ahead of BC.
For Rob, he made it out to The North Shore Hive on Friday afternoon to train with Alana and me. He had a great training day and topped many tough problems. He attempted a couple of the Youth B Girls Finals problems but the caliber of the route setting is extremely high. Needless to say, he was unsuccessful in topping any of them but good on him for trying.
For me, I worked on falling on higher difficulty/route climbs earlier in the week while I continue to work on getting over the fear of falling while on lead. We are off to the gym again today to climb and the plan is to do at least one fall on lead.
Michele M. sent me her weekly win to share… “My win this week… finding time for myself this weekend (a Saturday snowshoe… a rainy Sunday hike… and an uninterrupted hour to read my book). If felt like a massive win and I feel invigorated heading into another week!”
Hope you all had a great weekend and found some time to get outside and do something you love, with people you love. Thanks to Michele for sharing her weekly win. If you would like to have your weekly win included next week, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’d love to hear what you are up to.
“If you’re really doing it, then you don’t have time to watch yourself doing it. You only have time and energy to do it” – Stanford Meisner
Have a great week!
