Weekly Win - 9
Hope you all have had a great week. After last week’s crazy snowfall, everyone I talk to seems to be ready for Spring. I know I certainly am!
It's been a quiet week in the TiterLeaf household but here are a few things that have happened.
After putting off a difficult decision and subsequent discussion for a while now, it became necessary this week to deal with it. Instead of sending an email about the subject, which is how my ego wanted to deal with it, I knew that this conversation needed to happen in person. I arranged one of my days off to deal with this issue. I was nervous, mostly because I hate feeling like I’m letting people down, and in the end, we had a productive conversation. I’m one step further in initiating my goal of working with climbers, focusing on my training and dedicating myself to my writing project.
Monday, in Women in Bouldering, I worked on a specific climbing project that I’ve been unable to complete for a couple of weeks. I could get to the last hold, but I always failed to stick the finish. Thanks to the help of Jenn, the instructor, I finally finished the problem. These challenges are one of the things I love about climbing. You face tough climbs and work on them until your hands hurt and brain figures out the sequence. You can have immediate success or work through it and get delayed success. Both are pretty sweet!
Alana and I climbed Friday afternoon which is one of my favorite things to do with her. Yes, we climb a lot! There were quite a few problems which I hadn’t done yet, as I was projecting other things, so I worked on those, having finished my main project on Monday.
Well, I think that’s it. Thanks for reading this climbing heavy blog. That was the focus for the week though.
