Weekly Win - 14

How did the weekend fly by so quickly! We had a lot going on this weekend so this week’s Weekly Win is a touch late.  As the saying goes...  “Better late than never!” So here we go!

I made a last minute decision to register for a Soft Tissue Release course where I learned some new techniques I can use in the clinic and at sporting events.  My goal is to increase my athletic clientele, so this course was a no-brainer and I’m so glad I did it.  While I already use the concept in practice, the hands-on time with experienced instruction reinforced my knowledge and helped build some more skills. I'm looking forward to incorporating more of this active style of treatment in practice.  

Rob and Alana did some recreational climbing at the gym on Sunday where Rob was able to do some lead climbing as he hasn't had the opportunity to do since my injury. Alana coached him up a few new routes and he discovered he hasn't lost as much as he thought he had in strength. Hopefully, I will get the green light to belay him next week (still no climbing for me). 

I registered for another personal development course which starts this coming week. I’ve completed the course before, and I enjoyed it so much that I’m returning as an alumnus this time.  I have a few ideas for the project portion of the course, I need to start narrowing it down. The course is given by motivational speaker and life coach Mel Robbins and her amazing team, following the 5-second rule. If you don’t know what that is, I highly recommend searching for her on YouTube.
