Weekly Win - 22
Hey! Welcome to the beginning of June! Can you believe that we are nearly on the longest day of the year? It is nice to have so much sunshine and daylight to sweep away the last of that long winter we’ve all had. I know I am ready for summer, although the meteorologists are calling for long, hot, dry days. Let’s hope that everyone stays safe and remembers that cigarettes and campfires are the number one cause of forest fires. Put out your fires and don't throw cigarettes out of the window. 😊
Let’s get going with this week’s wins.
After looking at my goal progress for the last couple of weeks, I realized that I had allowed myself to fall off track and forgot my reasons for setting goals in the first place. Drawing on this experience, I am now working on a blog post that talks about goal setting, striving to be the best you can, and recognizing how easy it is to miss goals, especially when others around you are losing their marks too. I expect the post to be out in the next week or two, once I put the finishing touches on it. I look forward to sharing it with you.
Alana had her final school band concert this week. There were four groups, Grade 8 Concert Band, Grade 9 Concert Band, Grade 10 Concert Band, and Senior Concert Band. It has been a privilege to watch these students develop into amazing musicians over the years. The dynamic next year will be different as some of them graduate and move onto the next chapter of their lives. Thanks for playing your hearts out!
If you are in the North Vancouver area on Sunday, June 3rd, check out Champions Fundraiser for Wildlife on East 1st Avenue (Lower Lonsdale). There will be food, games, prizes and the return “Dunking the Senseis!” in the dunk tank. Proceeds go to support Protection of Fur-Bearing Animals. Let’s help speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.
