Weekly Win - 27
Happy Sunday Morning! I hope you all had a great week, hopefully celebrating Canada Day or American Independence Day (or both) with friends and family. The TiterLeaf clan spent the day together at the North Vancouver parade then we headed off for a big family barbeque at my brother’s trailer in Cultus Lake. It's rare that everyone can attend family dinners these days, so it was great to catch up with everyone.
It’s been a quiet week but here are a few of our wins.
Tuesday, instead of heading to the climbing gym, we decided to drive to Squamish to practice our new outdoor climbing skills. The wall that we learned to rappel on had a couple of climbs we wanted to try so we headed there first. Then we explored the area (Smoke Bluffs) to see all the different walls to climb. I had no idea that it was such a large area. One could spend all day just in the one park, let alone all the other climbing areas that are in Squamish. We’re waiting for the weather to clear so we can go back later this week.
I received my final stripe in kickboxing, signalling that my Sensei feels that I am ready to test at the end of the month (three weeks actually!). While my ankle still gives me some trouble, I have worked to rebuild my cardio and strength. My spinning kicks won’t be perfect (nothing is ever perfect), but I should be able to make it through the test without collapsing. 😊

Have a great week everyone!
