Weekly Win - 33
Happy Sunday! I hope you are all staying safe this summer and finding some relief from the heat and smoke that has become a common occurrence these past few years. Smoke from the forest fires that are burning in BC has now blown as far east as Western Ontario, 2500 kilometres away. Hopefully, we will get some rain this coming weekend to help the firefighters in their effort to put them out, and not start any new ones.
Here are a couple of wins for this week.
We returned home from our vacation to Whistler earlier this week. I’ve decided it’s time to start getting back on track with my goals after taking the summer off. I needed the time to refocus on what my goals are. One of my goals is to build up core strength so I can climb and kickbox more efficiently. This week, I returned to running and weight training at the gym. Thankfully I haven’t lost much of my running/lung capacity.
On Saturday evening, we celebrated Rob’s Uncle John’s (Jack) 90th birthday. The whole Titerle clan was there to celebrate Jack at this milestone year. He and Aunt Trudy (his wife of over sixty years) are both still very active. It was a fun evening to catch up with everyone.
“This life is yours. Take the power to choose what to want to do and do it well. Take the power to love what you want in life and love it honestly. Take the power to walk in the forest and be a part of nature. Take the power to control your own life. No one else can do it for you. Take the power to make your life happy.” — Susan Polis Schultz
Have a great week!
