Weekly Win - 31
Welcome to the first weekend of August! I can’t believe that we are halfway through summer already. For those of us in Canada, it’s a Civic Holiday on Monday, so many people are taking the opportunity to head out of town to recharge themselves and spend some time with family.
It’s been a great week in the TiterLeaf household. Here are a couple of our wins.
I have been working with a Nutritionist to deal with some digestive issues I’ve been dealing with for the last year. I’ve been on an elimination meal plan over the previous three weeks to reduce symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). I stayed on track (mostly), completed the full three weeks and learned a lot about what I can (and can’t) tolerate. This coming week is the start of the challenge phase, where I begin to reintroduce foods that could cause symptoms so I can determine my tolerance levels. I’m planning on writing about my experience in the coming weeks. Hopefully, I can help others who have been struggling IBS and help them see that there is a way to deal with it.
Alana finished summer school on Wednesday, and now we are free to get back to doing the things we love to do. We haven’t been climbing in a couple of weeks, so we’re really looking forward to getting back to that. Having now completed Foundations Math 10, she will be ahead of schedule and will take Pre-Calculus 11 in September. This move will help her be ready to go to University when she graduates (in three years). She’s also finishing up Physical Education 10 which she has been doing online. This will free up some time in her school day to focus on climbing training.

Have a fantastic weekend (or long weekend)!
